Russia will lift the ban on supplies of fruits and vegetables, expect potatoes from Egypt within three to five days, a source in the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) told TASS Tuesday.
"Within three to five days," the source said.
The Russian delegation of experts will visit Egypt in October - November 2016 to evaluate efficiency of measures undertaken by Egypt to comply with Russian phytosanitary requirements to potatoes supplies.
"The protocol pertaining to potatoes export from Egypt to Russia will be reviewed during that visit," Rosselkhoznadzor said.
Temporary restrictions on import of vegetable products from Egypt were introduced since September 22.
