Spanish Finance Minister Luis de Guindos Jurado
Madrid - KUNA

Spanish Minister of Economy and Competitiveness Luis De Guindos Jurado said Monday the country's GDP grew by 1.3 percent in 2014 and will hit two percent next year, thus meeting the projections, previously set for the two years.
Appearing before the Senate's financial committee this evening, the minister said the economy growth maintained a steady pace over the last six quarters.
The economic recovery helped create around 800,000 jobs in 2014 and 2015, which constitutes a major step towards bringing down the unemployment rate from the current 24.5 percent, Jurado added.
Driven by rise in domestic demand, Spain's GDP went up by 0.5 percent in Q3, 2014, which represents 1.6 percent rise on annual basis, after 0.6 percent rise in Q2.
