Egyptian embassies play a pivotal role in promoting investment opportunities in Egypt, said Tareq Qabil Sunday.
The trade and industry minister said diplomatic missions also contribute to promoting Egyptian exports on foreign markets.
The embassies also act to highlight economic reforms adopted by Cairo and how this helped achieve positive growth rates despite difficult changes facing the global economy, Qabil said in a meeting with 44 newly appointed ambassadors.
He told them President Abel Fattah El Sisi pays big attention to efforts to improve the economic landscape and achieve sustainable development in Egypt.
Qabil pressed for further coordination between the Egyptian embassies and the Egyptian Trade Representation Authority (ETRA) to unify views about ways to improve Egypt's foreign trade.
