Tunisia and Gabon signed six co-operation agreements in the areas of administrative assistance, health, higher education, vocational training, employment and post.
The signing ceremony was held Friday evening at Carthage Palace, in the presence of Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki and Gabon’s President Ali Bongo Ondimba who is paying an official visit to Tunisia from September 5 to 7.
The co-operation agreements signed between Tunisia and Gabon are the following:
Co-operation agreement in mutual administrative assistance to prevent customs offences,
Co-operation agreement in medical evacuation,
Co-operation agreement in vocational training and employment,
Memorandum of Understanding in hiring of teachers,
Co-operation agreement in employment and training of executives,
Co-operation agreement in the field of the post.
Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki had paid last June 24 an official visit to Gabon to take part in the Tunisia-Gabon Economic Forum held in Libreville.
The visit was crowned by the signing of ten co-operation agreements, particularly in the diplomatic, agricultural, health, education and tourism fields.
