The President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde on Friday said that Turkey's economy achieved extraordinary successes with its positive macro economic performance and structural arrangements. Speaking at the inauguration of the Seventh Investment Consultation Council meeting in Istanbul, Lagarde pointed out to the Turkish economy's achievements in the past decade and measures taken for the sustainability of growth. Turkey's achievements and performance and projects designed to carry the country forward deserve appreciation, Lagarde also said. PM Erdogan meets IMF President Lagarde Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday met with President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde in Istanbul. Erdogan received Lagarde at the Prime Ministry Office in Dolmabahce, Istanbul. Erdogan's meeting with Lagarde lasted around 30 minutes and was closed to the press corps.
