Turkish exports decreased 6 percent to 12.4 billion USD while imports increased 2.8 percent to 21.008 billion USD in June 2013 compared to the same term last year. TurkStat, Turkey's statistical authority, released Foreign Trade figures for June 2013 on Wednesday. According to the data,Turkey made exports worth of 12.4 billion USD with a 6 percent decrease and imports worth of 21.008 billion USD with a 2.8 percent increase in June 2013 compared with June 2012. Exports coverage of imports was 59.2 percent in June 2013, while it was 64.7 percent in June 2012. Foreign trade deficit increased by 18.9 percent to 8.5 billion USD. Calendar adjusted exports decreased by 3.2 percent and imports increased by 6.5 percent compared with May 2012. Seasonally and calendar adjusted exports decreased by 2.3 percent and imports decreased by 2 percent compared with previous month.
