Mehmet Buyukeksi, President of Turkey's Exporters Assembly said, "Turkey's exports in April increased 4.9 percent and reached 11 billion and 870 million dollars compared to the same month previous year." Buyukesi delivered a speech at the press conference organized by Bilecik Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Turkey's north western province of Bilecik. "Turkey's exports in April increased 4.9 percent and reached 11 billion and 870 million dollars compared to the same month previous year. Turkey's exports in the first four months of 2013 increased 5 percent and reached 48 billion and 943 million dollars," Buyukeksi said. "Turkey's imports in the last 12 months increased 11 percent to 153 billion and 485 million dollars," he added. The automotive sector ranked first in exports with one billion and 769 million dollars, followed by the chemistry sector and garment sector. "Turkey's exports to the EU increased 3 percent in April," Buyukeksi also stated.
