Rebuild communities devastated
Manila - SPA

A United Nations official urged the Philippine government Saturday to devote more resources to rebuild communities devastated by one of the strongest typhoons on record, dpa reported.

'For many displaced communities, basic service provision, including water, sanitation and electricity are lacking almost two years after Haiyan,' UN special rapporteur Chaloka Beyani said.

Typhoon Haiyan killed at least 6,300 people and displaced millions more when it pummeled the Visayas in November 2013.
