Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) reaffirmed its commitment to enhance transparency and direct communication between management and employees, as the company marked the conclusion of the series of Town Hall Meetings that were held during the month of January.
An initiative from Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, the meetings provided an ideal platform to update employees on the company’s performance in 2014 and its goals for the new year.
The CEO Town Hall meetings were attended by more than 75 per cent of Alba’s workforce. Each meeting comprised presentations on safety achievements, operational performance, update on "Project Titan" cost improvement programme, and management expectations for 2015, followed by an interactive Q&A session.
Commenting on the success of the Town Hall Meetings, Alba’s CEO, Tim Murray said:
"We believe that the best form of communication is direct communication, and the Town Hall meeting forum provides the opportunity to explain Alba’s performance in a personal setting. Town Hall meetings also provide employees a chance to speak openly and address any concerns they may have directly to the CEO. I would like to thank all employees for their participation at these meetings and their support in the continued success of Alba."
