Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)’s sponsorship support for Aluminum Symposium 2013 marks the company’s continuing commitment to engage with industry peers on global platforms in expanding aluminum's reach across diverse territories. Aluminum Symposium 2013 – organized by Platts, a leading global provider of energy, petrochemicals and metals information – was held from January 20 – 22, 2013 at the Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego, California, USA. “New Opportunities in Volatile Global Markets” was the theme of the symposium that had speakers representing some of the leading aluminum and metals companies in the world. Commenting on Alba’s sponsorship support for Aluminum Symposium 2013, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jean Baptiste Lucas said: “While the last few months have witnessed volatility in LME prices, the demand for the metal remains strong as more customers begin exploring the use of aluminum for their end products. Alba’s support for Aluminum Symposium 2013 shows our commitment to the North American market and our readiness to proactively address the needs of our current and potential customers and suppliers.” In 2012 Alba began exporting to the North American market as part of the company’s strategy to expand its global presence in preparations for the Line 6 expansion project.
