AstraZeneca to sell dental unit

Anglo-Swedish pharmaceuticals giant AstraZeneca said Wednesday it had agreed to sell its dental unit Astra Tech to US dental implant manufacturer Dentsply for $1.8 billion (1.25 billion euros) in cash. "Following a comprehensive strategic review, we believe this transaction represents an excellent outcome for AstraZeneca shareholders," AstraZeneca chief executive David Brennan said in a statement.
