U.S.fast food chain Burger King said it was launching a French fry nationwide called the Satisfry that has 40 percent less fat than fries sold at McDonald's. Burger King also said the Satisfry has 30 percent fewer calories than fries sold at the rival chain, CNNMoney.com reported Tuesday. A 70-gram package of Satisfries includes 6.3 grams of fat and weighs in at 150.5 calories, Burger King said. The same sized package at McDonald's contains 11.2 grams of fat and 226.8 calories, CNN said. In response to the launch, Ofelia Casillas, a spokeswoman from McDonald's said: "We know that our customers love McDonald's iconic world famous fries and we remain focused on serving them to our McDonald's 69 million customers every day around the world." Burger King said it is still selling its traditional French fires. The new Satisfries cost slightly more, going for $2.29 for a small bag. A small bag of the traditional fries sells for $2.19, CNNMoney.com reported.
