DEWA acclaimed as Stevie Award Gold Winner for Best Leadership Team in the World

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has been awarded the Gold Stevie statuette at the 11th Annual International Business Awards for the Best Leadership Team Worldwide.
During the global competition, DEWA surpassed global competitors to demonstrate the efficiency and capability of U.A.E. nationals and organisations to compete on a global level.
"We have learned from Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that leadership combines thought, vision, wisdom, strong personality and aspiration to achieve great deeds. Through this new achievement, the world bears testimony to the efficiency and professionalism of DEWA's leadership team - where over 80 percent of its members are U.A.E. Nationals," said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
"I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and U.A.E. He also thanked members of the leadership team and all DEWA staff for their relentless efforts to support DEWA's journey towards excellence. "Team work is one of the main corporate values in DEWA's strategy. At DEWA, we work in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who always emphasises that a great leader creates more great leaders, and does not reduce the institution to a single person.
"I am proud to lead such an excellent team. I thank them and all DEWA staff for what they have done and are still doing to promote DEWA's performance and achievements, which contribute to maintaining its global position as one of the most distinguished global organisations," concluded Al Tayer.
