EETC to sign contract to connect wind farms to electricity grid

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) will sign Tuesday a contract with a global specialist consultant to provide the necessary studies to connect wind farms to the Egyptian electricity grid, said Chairman Ahmed al-Hanafi.
The contract will be funded by a grant from the African Development Bank, he said.
The electricity sector spares no effort to provide power supply to all citizens for all purposes, he added.
