Ford Motor Co. is recalling 19,106 2013 Fusion sedans in the United States to replace faulty headlamps, The Chicago Tribune quoted federal safety officials as saying on Friday. Ford said in documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the headlamps on the 2013 model to be recalled could become hazy and dimmer over time, which could increase the risk of a crash. The U.S. automaker also said that there are no known reports of accidents or injuries because of the problem as of Nov. 9. This is the second time in just two weeks for Ford to recall the redesigned 2013 Fusion, which went on sale in the U.S. market in late September. Last week, the 2013 model was recalled to correct a potential defect that could cause engine fire.
