A leading international Italian industrial company will set up its regional headquarters in Bahrain as a gateway to the Middle East.
“The firm has already started the initial stages to establish in Bahrain”, said Economic Development Board (EDB) Chief Executive Officer Khalid Al-Romaihi.
He expected the company to open its regional headquarters in Bahrain during the first half of 2018. He made the statement on the sidelines of the EDB roadshow in the city of Milan, Italy.
He stressed Bahrain’s strenuous efforts to rank among leading countries in attracting investments, being a strategic gateway to regional markets.
He said that the Italian company had chosen to establish its regional headquarters in Bahrain after scrutinizing all other options, stressing the strategic location of Bahrain and the importance of streamlined business procedures in Bahrain.
The EDB roadshow will target key Italian cities as part of efforts to promote Bahrain, highly ease of doing business and streamlined measures, in addition to economic competitiveness.
The EDB delegation held meetings with leading Italian industrial companies and stressed the business potential of Bahrain as a gateway to the neighbouring Saudi market.
