Turnaround plans filed in bankruptcy court in Rochester, N.Y., have struggling firm Eastman Kodak downsizing further, court papers indicate. The new plan calls for the company to abandon its desktop printer business in 2013, despite the point that it was once expected to carry the company that has been struggling to find a new focus after decades as one of the world's leading camera film companies. The shift to digital cameras clobbered Kodak. The New York Times reported Saturday that the new focus for the company is expected to be commercial printers and service, as it walks away from its desktop line that was designed for small businesses and home use. The move is expected to cost the company $90 million and add 200 more jobs to the total of 3,700 jobs already lost in the restructuring.
