Seoul - Yonhap

South Korea's smallest mobile operator LG Uplus Corp. said Thursday that it will reduce its mobile-phone rates by 1,000 won starting in November, joining its two bigger rivals, which gave into government pressure to cut mobile fees. LG Uplus will start charging 10,900 won as its basic mobile-phone rates, instead of 11,900 won starting in November and offer 50 additional free text messages for its users, it said in an e-mailed statement.
