LuLu Group Chairman Yusuff Ali MA has received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for his contribution toward boosting international trade. Lord Lt. John Crabtree, the Queen’s special representative, presented the award to Ali during a ceremony held at the Birmingham Council House. Later in the day, Queen Elizabeth hosted a reception for the winners at the Buckingham Palace, where she had close interaction with them.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are announced every year on the British monarch’s birthday and recognize meritorious contributions in the fields of innovation, international trade and employment generation, which result in tangible growth of the UK’s economy. The award ceremony was attended by Lord Mayor of Birmingham Anne Underwood, Under Secretary of Trade Ministry Christine Hamilton, MP Khalid Mehmood, and a host of prominent businessmen and trade officials.
