Doha - QNA

Maersk Oil Qatar (MOQ) is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the development of Qatari nationals and future engineers as the platinum sponsor of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Young Members Activities programme being held here from May 13 to 16. The programme includes a series of workshops, seminars and panel sessions allowing experts, researchers and leaders of the oil and gas industry to network and to share technical and industrial information with high school students, university students and young engineers. Maersk Oil Qatar Managing Director Sheikh Faisal Al Thani said, "Education, training and development of Qatari nationals are key priorities within Maersk Oil Qatar, and this latest initiative is another way in which we are contributing to the long-term sustainable development and continued growth of Qatar." "Opportunities like the Young Members Activities Programme provide an ideal platform for young Qatari engineers and professionals to continue developing their skills and knowledge, as well as enabling the exchange of ideas and perspectives," he added. The workshop is being held in conjunction with the SPE International Production and Operations Conference and Exhibition taking place at the Qatar National Convention Centre, from May 14 to 17.
