Kuwait - Arabstoday

MAN Truck & Bus, one of the world's leading provider of commercial vehicles and buses based in Munich (Germany), has laid the foundation stone for a new integrated service & showroom facility in Kuwait. The buildings are due to be opened by the end of 2013 to give MAN customers enhanced service capabilities and access to a range of its trucks in the new showroom through its local importer Al Ahlia Heavy Vehicles Selling & Import. The upcoming 6,000 sq ft facility will be located in the Al Rai area in the heart of the automotive district in Kuwait. David van Graan, the head of the MAN Center Middle East and VP (Sales & marketing) said, "The new spacious showroom and service facility will be a key customer touchpoint so that our customers can experience our integrated, comprehensive transport solutions to improve performance and increase the cost effectiveness of their fleet." "The new facility will also embody our core message of being  ‘Consistently Efficient’ with our world class, technologically innovative products and service capabilities to reinforce our leadership position in Kuwait’s commercial vehicles sector," he stated. MAN‘s Kuwait facility will include a 250 sq m warehouse for all major fast moving parts as well as a 760 sq m workshop fully equipped with the latest technology and capable of servicing upto ten trucks simultaneously. The facility will also include a customer lounge with meeting rooms for customers. Walid Yousef, the new GM of Al Ahlia Heavy Vehicles Selling & Import said it is part of Al Ahlia’s long term initiative to give customers in Kuwait the best customer experience according to MAN’s high standards. "Having joined Al Ahlia recently I highly prioritize this development as the service and genuine parts portfolio of MAN is most competitive and we want to enhance our customer experience in the aftermarket," he added. With more than 1,500 MAN trucks sold over the last five years and a 25 per cent market share in Kuwait, this new facility will certainly provide a big boost in MAN’s ambition to be the preferred commercial vehicle partner for discerning customers in Kuwait.
