Mobily to provide backup services to Al-Khafji Joint Operations
Jeddah - Arab Today

Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) represented by its business unit, Mobily Business, signed an agreement with Al-Khafji Joint Operations to provide backup services to the company. The signing ceremony was recently held in Al-Khafji.
The agreement was signed between Fahad Alsulaiman, director military, banking & natural resources sales at Mobily, and Abdulraoof Alarkia, executive manager business management, Al-Khafji Joint Operations.
Al-Khafji Joint Operations is a cooperation project established in 2000 between Aramco and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company.
Under the agreement, Mobily will provide backup and business continuity services to Al-Khafji Joint Operations.
Mobily said the deal confirms its pioneering role and that a variety of sectors, such as health, education and banking, benefit from its services.
According to the telecom company, Al-Khafji Joint Operations chose Mobily to implement this project as it is a leading operator in the telecom and IT services sector.
Moreover, Mobily is specialized in the fields of information security, information encryption and backup recovery.
Ismail Alghamdi, chief business officer, said the company is keen to raise the added value of government projects. “We have become a technology pioneer in smart cloud services that help companies to access their data even when the service is down, and other services like virtual servers recovery, which provide full managed solutions to ensure electronic services’ continuity in a matter of minutes.”
Mobily Business provides flexible and reliable services through its 48 data and technical centers, which help establishments to set up their servers, and storage and network devices.
The data centers have received local and international classifications like third place (Tier III) and fourth place (Tier IV) from UPTIME Institute, which specializes in the evaluation of data centers worldwide.
