Turkish company takes part in Bavabad province's project which aims to create a new settlement in area of Holy Harem Sharif in Mecca with a population of 690,000 Saudi Arabia is going to implement a great settlement project, "New Mecca", in Saudi Arabian city of Mecca by the end of this year. Atlas Group Construction, a Turkish company, will be a part of the settlement project in the Bavabad province. Under the project, Bavabad which is 13 km away from holy site of Kaaba is planned to host 690,000 people on an area of 1.6 million square meters. Saudi Arabia-based company Sumuo will undertake the giant project jointly with its Turkish partner. Sumuo company introduced the giant project in International Construction and Real Estate Fair in Jeddah. Mehmet Ceylan, chairman of Atlas, told AA on Thursday, "We will launch the project through Saudi-Atlas cooperation. We will launch other projects as well both in Turkey and Saudi Arabia in the framework of this cooperation." Dr. al-Kahtani, chairman of Sumuo Company, expressed his pleasure with the participation of a Turkish company in the giant project.
