Sejong - Yonhap

The number of business group affiliates subject to restrictions on mutual investments and loan guarantees fell in February from a month earlier, South Korea's antitrust watchdog said Monday.
The Fair Trade Commission (FTC) said the overall number of firms on its watch list stood at 1,671 as of this month, slightly less than the 1,676 in January. The firms belong to 63 business groups
Thirteen companies -- including affiliates belonging to SK, Hanwha and GS -- were put on the roster. They were added because business groups took over their shares or opted to create new companies.
