Chinese shares open lower Friday

Chinese stocks opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.5 percent to open at 2,792.89 points.
The smaller Shenzhen index opened 0.78 percent lower at 9,657.75 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.93 percent to open at 2,018.38 points.
