On Monday morning in Tokyo, the U.S. dollar traded in the upper 108 yen zone in early deals, with the level largely in line with those seen in New York at the end of last week.
At 9 a.m., the dollar changed hands at 108.65-67 yen compared with 108.60-70 yen in New York and 108.78-80 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, was quoted at 1.1315-1317 dollars and 122.95-96 yen against 1.1305-1315 dollars and 122.71-81 yen in New York and 1.1343-1345 dollars and 123.39-43 yen on Friday afternoon in late trade in Tokyo.
