Dollar trades at lower 78 yen level in early Tokyo deals

The US dollar traded in the lower 78 yen range early Thursday in Tokyo. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 78.07-11 yen compared with 78.14-24 yen in New York and 78.32-33 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The euro fetched 1.2860-2864 dollar and 100.41-42 yen against 1. 2869-2879 dollar and 100.64-74 yen in New York and 1.2870-2871 dollar and 100.80-84 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
