Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average opened higher Wednesday after major European stock markets rebounded overnight for the first time since Britain's referendum last week to leave the European Union.
The Nikkei gained 154.49 points, or 1.01%, to trade at 15,477.63 as of 9:12 am (0012 GMT). The index edged up 0.09 % Tuesday.
