Qatar Exchange was pursued its upswing trend Wednesday adding 14.38 points (or 0.17%) to advance to 8,328.71 points from 8,314.33 Tuesday. The volume of the shares traded was fell to 4,717,514 from 4,955,849 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR154,244,567.45 from QR143,906,878.61 Tuesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar Insurance which was up 0.71% to QR71.00, Electricity and Water rose 0.72% to QR140.00, Doha Bank gained 1.22% to QR58.00 and Islamic Insurance up by 1.64% to QR61.90. Among the top losers were Al khalij Commercial Bank whose share dropped 0.65% to QR16.70 , Vodafone Qatar lost 0.78% to QR8.88, Gulf warehousing Co fell 0.75% to QR39.90 and Al Kaleej Takaful down 1.89% to QR41.50. The Banking and Financial sector index was gained 3.34 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped by 1.99 points. The industrial sector was added 6.73 points while insurance sector rose 8.78 points.
