The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Thursday adding 17.06 points (or 0.20%) to advance to 8,467.20 points from 8,450.14 Wednesday. The volume of the shares traded was fell to 5,645,822 from 8,505,388 on Wednesday and the value of shares down to QR174,157,904.09 from QR255,906,460.54 Wednesday. Among the top gainers were Commercial Bank of Qatar which was up 2.37% to QR7340, Doha Insurance rose 0.87% to QR29.05, Qatar Navigation gained 2.16% to QR61.40 and Islamic Holding up by 1.19% to QR38.35. The Banking and Financial sector index was up 6.00 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index gained 9.93 points. The industrial sector was rose by 0.39 points while insurance sector added 41.58 points.
