Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 35.41 points (or 0.42%) to advance to 8,442.51 points from 8,407.10 Wednesday. The volume of the shares traded up to 4,630,506 from 3,957,589 on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR198,930,682.19 from QR210,467,542.70 Wednesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.61% to QR131.40, Qatar Telecom rose 1.76% to QR103.90, Vodafone Qatar gained 3.07% to QR8.73 and Barwa up by 0.72% to QR27.90. The Banking and Financial sector index up 11.91 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 4.37 points. The industrial sector gained 5.31 points while insurance sector rose 1.34 points.
