Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 119.87 points (or 1.42%) to advance to 8,569.13 points from 8,449.26 Wednesday. The volume of the shares traded up to 5,095,978 from 3,274,109 on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR223,820,040.40 from QR150,369,500.86 Wednesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 2.28% to QR134.50, Industries Qatar rose 1.83% to QR161.40, Electricity and Water gained 1.80% to QR135.50 and Rayan up by 1.95% to QR26.10. The Banking and Financial sector index up 30.92 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 61.01 points. The industrial sector gained 37.43 points while insurance sector rose 6.45 points.
