Seoul shares ended higher on Tuesday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 12.66 points, or 0.62 percent, to settle at 2,043.78. Trading volume stood at 433.44 million shares worth 4.1 trillion won (3.7 billion U.S. dollars).
South Korea's currency finished at 1,106.1 won against the greenback, up 2.2 won from Monday's close.
