Singapore stocks close 0.06% higher

Singapore stocks finished almost flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 1.78 points, or 0.06 percent, to close at 3,158.57. A total of 3.3 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 48 billion Singapore dollars (1.21 billion US dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers 225 to 204, while 527 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 1.91 points, or 0.06 percent, to close at 3, 156.79 on Tuesday.
