Singapore stocks close 0.39 percent lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 11. 76 points, or 0.39 percent, to close at 3,026.61. A total of 1.42 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 10 billion Singapore dollars (901.6 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers 270 to 134, while 560 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 0.36 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 3, 038.37 on Wednesday.
