US dollar exchange rate settles at KD 0.277

Exchange rate of the US dollar against the Kuwaiti dinar stayed unchanged at KD 0.277 as well as the euro to KD 0.365 compared to Monday's rates, said the daily bulletin of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) on Tuesday. The Sterling pound increased to KD 0.436. The Japanese yen was unchanged at KD 0.003, while the Swiss franc stood to KD 0.303. The settling of US dollar was due to high demand of low-yielding currencies in midst of the severe fluctuations in global markets.
