Algeria’s ambassador to Cairo and permanent representative in the Arab League Nadir Larbaoui donated Wednesday, at the organization’s headquarters, a cheque for $1.5 million to the Somali ambassador as part of its contribution to Somalia Aid Fund, adopted at Doha Summit. Larbaoui said that this contribution doesn’t reflect only Algeria’s commitment to paying its contribution to the fund but also an expression of solidarity of the Algerian people with their Somali brothers to alleviate their suffering and strengthen their national institutions. The Somali ambassador to Cairo hailed Algeria’s unfailing support to Somalia, presenting his tanks to the Algerian president, government and people.
