Bulgarian State Agency for National Security (SANS) has neutralized a printing house for counterfeit banknotes and arrested three suspects, the agency said in a statement on its website on Wednesday.
During the operation held on Tuesday, SANS found and confiscated two computers set up to prepare counterfeit 10 BGN, 20 BGN, 50 BGN, 100 BGN, 50 euro, 100 euro notes and false official documents such as diplomas and certificates, two printers as well as devices for holographic stickers, the statement said.
The officers also discovered fake 100-euro bills totaling over 20,000 euros (27,200 U.S. dollars), and counterfeit samples of other face values, SANS said.
Investigation on the case continues, SANS added.
