Celcom Axiata Bhd has appointed Datuk Mohzani Datuk Dr Abdul Wahab as its Independent Non-Executive Director. In a statement Monday, the company said Mohzani, an Economics graduate from University of Malaya, had worked with the Shell Group for 33 years since 1976. Mohzani's last position with the Shell Group was as the Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and Shell Timur Sdn Bhd from 2001 to 2005, respectively, until his retirement at end-2009. Celcom Chairman Datuk Seri Jamaludin Ibrahim said: "We are very happy to welcome him to the company and with his vast knowledge and experience, his retail, marketing and international background in particular, will be an important addition to Celcom's board."
