India and Bangladesh have agreed to set up more ‘Border Haats’ (bazars) along their border in Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya to boost local trade and economy, a Tripura minister said on Thursday. A ‘Border Haat’ was set up in Meghalaya last year. ‘Border Haats’ in Tripura would start in 2012-13 and one more market center would be set up along the Meghalaya border, Tripura’s Commerce Minister Jitendra Chaudhury said quoting union minister Anand Sharma.
