The price of Algeria’s imported goods fell during the first quarter of 2014 by 4.3% compared to the same period in 2013, said Saturday the National Statistics Office (ONS).
The price of imports dropped by 4.3% during the first quarter of 2014 compared to the same period in the previous year, in comparison to the fourth quarter of the same year (2013), the decline is more “important” as it reached 5.1%, added the ONS.
In quarter-to-quarter, the figures of the ONS reveal that imports prices remain “important,” mainly in raw materials, energy and lubricant products, with 2.5% and agricultural equipments (22.8%).
The imports of raw products also declined by 9.6% and food goods by 2.2%.
