Production of Chinese steel grows

China's production of raw steel in the past eight months have increased by 10.6% to 469.28 million tons, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said on Monday . NDRC added that the rate of growth is 4.7% less than last year''s output. China''s steel exports in August 2011 decreased by 250,000 ton to become 4.19 million tons. While imports increased by 110,000 tons to reach 1.35 million tons. China''s steel industry recorded a profit of $28.35 billion in the first seven months of 2011, an increase of 29.2%
