Stockholm shows good signs of economic growth

 Stockholm of Sweden showed good signs ofeconomic growth in the fourth quarter of 2013, said Stockholm Business Region(SBR) on Wednesday.SBR is the official investment and tourism promotion agency for the StockholmRegion.Residential construction increased by about 150 percent in both the city and thecounty in the fourth quarter of 2013, compared with the same period in 2012, datareleased by SBR showed.In the fourth quarter of 2013, total wages and salaries grew by 4.4 percent inStockholm County and 3.9 percent in the city of Stockholm respectively."In the labour market, employment levels will continue to increase and number ofjob openings is increasing, while the number of dismissals is halved," said OlefZetterberg, CEO of SBR.The number of employed residents have increased by 31,700 in Stockholm County,according to SBR.Meanwhile, the number of new business starts increased by eight percent in thecounty and 12 percent in the city.
