Work of the US-Africa Business Forum held with the participation of President Beji Caid Essebsi who was invited by his US counterpart started Wednesday in New York, with attendance of President Barack Obama.
Thirty-five heads of state and more than 200 US companies are taking part in the forum held on the sidelines of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
This large economic event organised by the US Department of Commerce is dedicated to the trade relations between the US and Africa.
Discussions will focus on trade and joint investments between the US and African countries and the contribution of the US and African private sectors in the investment, infrastructure, health and technology sectors.
The first edition of the forum was held in Washington in 2014.
