The 22nd Vietnam International Trade Exhibition kicked off here on Wednesday. Rated as the biggest scale of its kind in Vietnam, the expo was held under the theme"Vietnam - Cooperation for Development", showcasing 600 goods stalls by 450 companies from 20 countries and regions with various kinds of products on display. More than 200 businesses from China's Yunnan province attended the annual expo, displaying products from Yunnan at a large pavilion. South Korean businesses and Indian companies also showcased their items respectively. The expo will provide participants with more opportunities to seek trade partners, find new goods designs with high quality, said Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Nguyen Thanh Bien, in a press release issued at the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Vietnamese businesses will have more chances to promote the export of their products which are sought after at home, Bien added. According to the expo organizers, various events including seminars, conferences and promotion meetings were held on the sideline of the four-day expo, which is expected to bring practical benefits to participating businesses. Awards will be presented to the best products on display at the expo.
