Vodafone customers can now call more than 140 countries around the world at Dh65 a minute. Vodafone Qatar yesterday said its permanent international calling rates would take immediate effect. “All of the most popular calling destinations are included at this rate,” Vodafone said. These countries include Bahrain, Bangladesh, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Iran, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, UK, US and Yemen. The telecom service provider also announced a permanent rate for customers of Vodafone’s International 25 Card.This gives customers 51 minutes of talk time at a rate of Dh49 a minute to the following 15 popular destinations- India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Thailand, Syria, Sudan, Turkey, Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia. “Many people in Qatar have family and friends living in another country. Vodafone is proud that it can help everyone in Qatar stay connected to their loved ones all around the world with great international calling rates,” said John Saad, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Qatar. The ‘Super Sunday’ offer of Dh55 a minute to call anywhere in the world will end at midnight on November 20. “Our customers have told us they would like every day to be a great day for international calling. Permanent rates as low as Dh49 per minute through our International Card means customers can feel confident calling their friends and family, no matter what day it is.” said Cindy Moussa, Vodafone Qatar head (customer marketing).
