Yemen and Arab Fund for Economic and SocialDevelopment (AFESD) discussed in Amman on Sunday the trends of the AFESD'sfuture support to Yemen.During their meeting, Minister of Planning and International CooperationMohammad al-Sa'adi reviewed AFESD Director-General and Chairman of the Board ofDirectors Abdul Latif al-Hamad reviewed the progress of the implementation of anumber of projects financed by AFESD in some economic sectors in Yemen.The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the meetings of the Building theFuture Conference kicked off in Jordan today, also reviewed the possible means toenhance the mutual cooperation between Yemen and AFESD.On the other hand, al-Sa'adi held talks with deputy chairman of the Saudi Fund forDevelopment (SFD) Yousef al-Bassam over the mutual cooperation relations as wellas the implementation progress of the SFD-funded economic and service projects inYemen.At the meetings, the Minister praised the contributions of the AFESD and SFD to thestability and development paths in Yemen through financing several developmentprojects.For their parts, the AFESD and SFD's officials expressed the Funds' readiness tocontinue to support development in Yemen and boost the bilateral partnershipframeworks.
