The Building Department of Dubai municipality organized a meeting with consulting and contracting companies working in the emirate of Dubai aimed at introducing the recently upgraded and simplified facilities and improvements in the procedures and requirements for the services of registration and qualifying the contracting and engineering companies. Eng. Abdullah Al Shezavi, Head of Qualifying Section said that the meeting comes as the part of continuous communication with all categories of dealers with Dubai municipality and Building Department. The services rendered by the section and its working methods were presented in detail to the audience, in addition to the open discussion held at the end of meeting. “The civic body gives great importance to the suggestions of its dealers and consider it as opportunity to improve its services. “The municipality confirms the compliance of the engineering companies and offices with the requirements of registration and renewal. The technical action team of the department conducts periodical field inspection of activity areas of these companies and offices,” he said. He also praised the commitment of companies and offices and urged them to update the data and details of technical cadres in case of any change or amendment. “It is necessary to renew the records with the building department periodically. The services are automated completely enabling the dealers to check the entire requirements and rules to practice the engineering profession,” he added.
