Paris' iconic tower, La Tour Eiffel was closed on Wednesday for the second succesive day as workers continued their strike over job conditions, local reports said. Thousands of tourists flooding to Paris to see the famous 324-metre monument were forced to change their schedule after workers at the Eiffel Toue refused to resume works on failed last-minute talks between management and the influential CGT union. Reports added negotiations to improve security conditions and raise wages were underway with a possible re-opening for toursts later in the day. "The waiting lines are growing longer, the visitors are growing more and more impatient and the work conditions are deteriorating," the CGT said in a statement released on Tuesday. The Tour Eiffel lures about seven million tourists every year.
