French Apple employees to strike on iPhone 5 launch day

Workers in Apple stores in France will strike for better work conditions on Friday, the day of the much-hyped release of the company's iPhone 5, a union told AFP on Wednesday. Unions representing the firm's 1,000 workers in France are demanding a 13th month of pay each year -- a common perk in France -- a monthly pay rise, and lunch vouchers -- demands the world's most valuable company is resisting.
